A decision was made to open both the Armenian embassy in Hungary and the Hungarian embassy in Armenia this year.

"We believe there is great potential there as well, and Hungary's presidency in the EU Council was a proof of our cooperation. It is even more symbolic in terms of organizing this EU Council forum and the visit of the Visegrad Fund during the Polish presidency.

We are practically finalizing the negotiations with the EU on the new agenda of our leadership and will soon organize a relevant meeting with the civil society in the coming weeks to present these results.

At the same time, contacts have already been established with the new EU leadership. Recently, a teleconference was held with the President [Antonio] Costa of the EU Council and [Armenian] Prime Minister [Nikol] Pashinyan, where relevant cooperation matters were discussed," said Hovhannisyan.
