Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Russia. His plane landed at the Vnukovo-2 airport in the capital Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.

The Iranian president was welcomed at the airport by Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, and Head of the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Igor Bogdashev.

In late December, Iranian ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali had announced that the Iranian president will visit Moscow on January 17. And as the Kremlin press service reported later, Pezeshkian has planned a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
