YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan intends to continue reforms next year as well, he told the journalists on Saturday.
Tovmasyan intends to reduce court proceedings by 10%. Steps should be taken to increase trust in the judicial system. Meantime, effectiveness of the institute of advocates will be increased. Penitentiary system indents to reduce repeated crimes, death cases by 10%. The Minister also promised to report on his activity periodically.
Summing up works implemented this year, Tovmasyan said that part of the works promised by him, were implemented, while part of them are still to be implemented. The simplification of registering legal persons is among the achievements.
It is necessary to eliminate bureaucratic burdens from legislature, Tovmasyan believes.
