Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not discuss Armenia's work within the CSTO during their phone conversation, the Russian president's spokesperson said on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.

A reporter asked Dmitry Peskov whether the topic of lifting the freeze on Armenia's work in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was discussed in the phone conversation between Putin and Pashinyan.

"No. This topic was not discussed during the last phone conversation between the [Russian] president and the [Armenian] prime minister," Peskov replied.

Earlier, Putin and Pashinyan had discussed—by phone—the deepening of integration cooperation, primarily in the energy sector.
