The Armenian Armed Forces are not standing still, they are fulfilling the tasks set before them. Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, stated this at Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan Tuesday—and on the occasion of Army Day.

“Currently, our conscripts, contract [soldiers] standing at the border are vigilantly fulfilling their task. And the military units and subdivisions located in the places of permanent deployment of the armed forces are also on alert and are marking their holiday,” added Asryan.

When asked whether Azerbaijan will withdraw from the territories adjacent to Jermuk city as a result of the border delimitation and demarcation, the chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces responded: “I cannot answer that question, there is a border delimitation and demarcation commission for that. We will follow the results of the border delimitation and demarcation work and they will show.”
