Mazda will introduce a new logo on the body and some other parts of its cars, reports Nikkei newspaper.
The new logo design is flat and simple, making it easier to see on smartphone screens. As more and more people browse the web on smartphones, this will help the Japanese automaker reach the younger generation.
Mazda's logo has been oval-shaped since 1997. The newly registered logo is a repeat of the current one, but it has a flatter design.
The current logo will likely be retained, but the new one will also be used.
