Arbat battalion founder, head of the Boxing Federation of the Donetsk People’s Republic Armen Sargsyan has died in the hospital’s intensive care unit from his wounds, never regaining consciousness. He was injured in an explosion at a Moscow residential complex, Russian Telegram channels wrote.
The Russian Investigative Committee has confirmed the death of a second person as a result of the aforementioned explosion.
Earlier, Russian special services had reported that the assassination attempt on Armen Sargsyan was ordered and meticulously planned.
The explosion occurred when he was walking through the hall—and accompanied by guards.
Earlier, Sargsyan was charged in Ukraine, in particular, with participation in illegal armed units that conducted military operations against the Ukrainian armed forces. He was wanted in Ukraine; he previously had Ukrainian citizenship.
Armenia also had requests regarding Armen Sargsyan. According to the Investigative Committee, the Arbat battalion recruited its residents, helping Russia prepare a coup d’état.
