Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received an official invitation to participate in Victory Day anniversary events in Moscow, Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“I would like to note that in a few months all Russians, together with the peoples of the former Soviet Union, will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War [[in World War II]]. An official invitation has been extended [also] to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to participate in the solemn events to be held in Moscow,” the ambassador said.

He considers it valuable that Russia and Armenia are still united and joined by respect for the memory of the feat of the peoples of the Soviet Union.

This is especially important in the context of the growing attacks on our shared victory, Kopyrkin added.
