YEREVAN. – By adopting the bill on penalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, France proved its commitment to support universal values and the Principle of justice, Armenian ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliament group member Hrayr Karapetyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“This is the most vivid expression of French democracy, which should serve an example for other states. France confirmed once again its will. We hope that French Senate will also support the bill after the adoption by the French National Assembly,” Karapetyan said.

French National Assembly (lower house) approved the bill on criminal punishment of the denial of the Armenian genocide on Thursday.
