More than half a dozen Tesla charging stations were set on fire near Boston on Monday in what appears to be the latest attack on the company owned by billionaire US presidential advisor Elon Musk, CNBC reported, citing police.

Police officers and firefighters arrived at the Point shopping center around 01:10 local time and found Tesla charging stations engulfed in flames and thick dark smoke, police said in a statement.

Officers from the lighting and water department arrived on the scene and shut off the power supply.

A total of seven charging stations were severely damaged by the fire, police said.

There were no injuries.

Fire investigators believe the fire appears to have been set intentionally, police said.

A suspect was arrested last week in Northern Colorado for allegedly trying to set fire to a Tesla dealership in Loveland, according to a police statement. In late January, a Tesla Cybertruck was attacked in the San Francisco suburb of Redwood City.
