France is offering to provide Ukraine with intelligence information, French defense minister Sebastien Lecornu said, a day after Washington announced it was suspending intelligence sharing with Kyiv.

“We [i.e. France] have intelligence resources that we use in order to help the Ukrainians,” Lecornu told France Inter radio.

“It has been suspended since yesterday,” he added, referring to the intelligence sharing between the United States and Ukraine. “I think it’s more difficult for our British friends who are in the United States’ intelligence community.”

Also, Lecornu said that France’s nuclear weapons’ stockpile, which created in the early days of the Cold War and designed to be independent of the then dominant powers—Washington and Moscow, is sufficient.
