The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsperson) of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, as part of her working visit to Strasbourg, France, on Tuesday met with the Council of Europe (CoE) Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O'Flaherty.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of human rights issues, the Human Rights Defender's Office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, the ombudsperson specifically addressed the problematic nature—from a human rights perspective—of the processes being carried out against ethnic Armenians who are arbitrarily detained in Azerbaijan.
