The command of the Lebanese Armed Forces has ordered troops stationed on the Syrian border to open fire in response to shelling from Syrian territory toward the northern and eastern regions of Lebanon, according a statement by a Lebanese military representative posted on Telegram.

Earlier, it was reported that one child was killed and four civilians were injured in Lebanon as a result of the shelling from Syria. According to the Lebanon 24 news portal, at least 50 shells had exploded near several settlements in northern Lebanon.

And Syria TV reported that an ammunition depot of Shiite militias affiliated with Hezbollah was destroyed as a result of these attacks. According to it, the casualties of Syrian military units during the firefight have reached six.
