CNN Turk news editor Idris Arikan, who visited Yerevan a few days ago at the invitation of the Armenian side and met with the prime minister of Armenia, presented Armenia in a very negative light in his report, and disseminated blatant disinformation unbecoming of a journalist.

The 26-minute report presented Armenia in a negative way. The impression from this report is that Armenia is in a very difficult economic situation, far from development prospects, and the only salvation is the opening of the Turkish border.

And the most ridiculous thing is that Idris Arikan said in his report against the backdrop of the Iranian mosque in downtown Yerevan is that the latter was one of the cities of the Turkish empire. And as “evidence,” he presented this Iranian mosque as Turkish. In other words, this well-known Turkish journalist is not only disseminating shameful disinformation that Yerevan was supposedly a Turkish city, but also describing an Iranian mosque as Turkish.
