The United States is organizing “proximity talks” between Ukraine and Russia in Saudi Arabia. This was announced by Keith Kellogg, the US special envoy for Ukraine, in an interview on The Glenn Beck Program.

"In this week, we're putting what we call (…) technical teams in what are called ‘proximity talks’ in Saudi Arabia, where both sides [i.e. Russia and Ukraine] come in, they're kept in separate rooms," Kellogg explained.

According to him, the main goal of these meetings is to clarify the positions of Moscow and Kyiv on a possible ceasefire.

"It's basically shuttle diplomacy between rooms in Riyadh, and that's where they are. And then we'll see where we can get to a comprehensive ceasefire, and that would be the first step to ending this war," added the US special envoy for Ukraine.
