Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed disappointment with the latest actions of the "European three" (Great Britain, Germany and France), especially due to the introduction of new sanctions against Iran, during a telephone conversation with his British counterpart David Lammy.

"Noting the holding of four rounds of talks between the delegations of Iran and the three European countries, the Foreign Minister expressed disappointment with some actions and unconstructive positions of the European countries and the EU, especially related to the introduction of new sanctions under far-fetched pretexts, and called on the three European countries to reconsider their approaches and methods towards Iran," the statement from the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry noted.

As Araghchi noted, pointing to the contradictory statements and messages of American officials, Iran does not accept the use of diplomacy as an instrument of political and psychological pressure.

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Tehran sent an official response to a letter from US President Donald Trump to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ali Khamenei, using the mediation services of Oman.
