YEREVAN.- Armenian sportsmen won 135 medals and 10 Olympic passes in 2011 as compared to 157 medals last year, said Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Artur Petrosyan.

Budget funds allocated to sport will total AMD 4 billion next year, he told journalists on Tuesday summing up the results of 2011.

Petrosyan said that the best project of the year was “The Best Sport Family” which brought together 1122 families as compared to 347 last year.

The Minster named Grandmaster Levon Aronian the best sportsman.

Speaking about football, Artur Petrosyan said he likes to watch matches of the national squad on TV.
