The death toll from the earthquake on March 28 has risen to 22 in Bangkok, Thai PBS reports.

On March 28, several powerful earthquakes were recorded in Myanmar, one of which had a magnitude of 8.2. Aftershocks were felt in Thailand, China, and Vietnam, too.

A multi-story building under construction collapsed in the Thai capital Bangkok as a result of these tremors. The respective state of emergency in Thailand was lifted on Tuesday.

Fifteen people died in the collapse of the national audit office building. Over the past four days, their bodies have been pulled from the rubble. Another 72 people are missing.

Thailand will investigate the collapse of this building, the Bangkok Post had reported Tuesday.

The 30-story building, built by a Chinese-Thai consortium, collapsed despite being rated earthquake-resistant up to a magnitude of 7.8. The property was worth $61.4 million.
