Kirill Dmitriev, the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special representative for economic cooperation with foreign countries, said that he discussed the matter of restoring dialogue between Moscow and Washington with key members of US President Donald Trump’s administration.

Dmitriev told a small group of reporters in Washington that over the past two days, he has held meetings on behalf of President Putin in Washington with key members of the Trump administration.

And one of the main topics is the restoration of Russian-American relations, the restoration of dialogue that was completely suspended and interrupted during former US President Joe Biden’s administration, he added.

Dmitriev noted that the Trump administration listens to Russia's position and understands its concerns.

President Trump's administration and the key people in his administration are committed to resolving the full range of issues in Russian-American relations, Dmitriev said. They are committed to resolving geopolitical problems, and listen to Russia's position on many issues, he added.
