A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the heads of diplomatic missions of a number of Eurasian countries accredited to Russia was held Monday in Moscow, the Russian foreign ministry reports.

Lavrov gave principled assessments of the security situation in different parts of Eurasia. He noted the crisis of the Euro-Atlantic security concept, drew attention to the dangerous actions of NATO countries aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, the volatile situation in the Middle East, as well as the risks threatening the stability of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

An exchange of views was held on the implementation of Russian President Vladimir Putin's initiative to create a new security architecture in Eurasia with the participation of all countries of this continent and their associations.

During the discussion, the need to ensure stability in the Eurasian space, the practical application of the principle of indivisible security, and the primary responsibility of Eurasian states for resolving Eurasian issues was emphasized.

Armenian ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan also attended this meeting.
