PreferredYEREVAN. - Passing year was the most dynamic in the twenty-first century, director of research programs in Russia and CIS German Society for Foreign Policy Alexander Rar told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“This year entered the history as a year of changes. At first, it was nuclear disaster in Japan, the Fukushima-1. Later it was the Arab spring on universal focus,” Rar said adding the year was fatal for the EU as well, as it could hardly be rescued from bankruptcy.
The expert also touched upon the recent Russian parliamentary elections. He believes they play an important role.
As a conclusion, Rar characterized the passing year as ‘a year of important events and great expectations.’ On this background the coming year will be pessimistic, as the previous one has caused many problems. Economy suffers throughout the world, much is indefinite. The coming year will be a difficult one, he concluded.
To note, Rar does not believe in Santa Claus, but anyway would have wished for health if asked.
