On April 12, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the discussion covered practical steps to strengthen the allied cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as the schedule of joint events.
The parties exchanged views on current international and regional issues. The importance of continuing cooperation within the framework of the “3+3” Regional Cooperation Platform and intensifying the work of the “Caspian Five” was emphasized.
The Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to support the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process and to assist in reaching a peace agreement. It was also stressed that the full implementation of the trilateral agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia between 2020 and 2022 is essential.
