The chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, Artur Nahapetyan, received a delegation led by US Ambassador Kristina Kvien—and which also included the US embassy representatives of the US Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

The head of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia highly appreciated the support of American partners in the establishment and development of the committee, and thanked them for their close cooperation in the fight against corruption, the committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia particularly attached importance to the INL bureau’s continuous support aimed at developing the capabilities of the committee and improving the professional knowledge of its employees. Noting that corruption crimes are transnational, Nahapetyan emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the fight against corruption, including in mutual legal assistance.

US Ambassador Kristina Kvien, for her part, stressed that the American side truly values the already established effective partnership relations with the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.

And at the end of the meeting, the chairman of the committee expressed hope that the directions and domains of their cooperation with the US embassy in Armenia will expand in the near future, and ensure a new level of bilateral cooperation.
