Russia welcomes the fact of indirect talks in Oman between the US and Iran on the Iranian nuclear program, and expects a concrete result in the future, Russian deputy foreign minister Andrey Rudenko told RIA Novosti.
“We [i.e. Russia] will always evaluate any negotiations based on their results. As far as I understand, the negotiations will continue next week. So, we expect the results to be concrete and tangible. We welcome the fact of the negotiations. If positive [results] are achieved in them, we will only be happy,” the Russian diplomat said.
The second round of talks between Iran and the US is expected to be held on Saturday.
