A telephone conversation was held Friday between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia and the latter’s special representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) informs.
The Russian side confirmed its readiness to continue contributing to the process of finding a common denominator between Yerevan and Ankara, as the improvement of Armenian-Turkish relations is an important factor for the stability and sustainable development of the South Caucasus.
Rubinyan informed about the latest developments in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
Also, a number of matters on Russian-Armenian relations, as well as cooperation in the South Caucasus, including within the framework of the “3+3” (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia plus Russia, Iran, Turkey) regional cooperation platform, were discussed.
The views were exchanged in a constructive atmosphere.
