Ford has stopped exporting cars to China due to trade wars. The Blue Oval told reporters that deliveries of the F-150 Raptor, Mustang, Bronco, and Lincoln Navigator to China have been suspended, reports Motor.ru.

They have adjusted their exports from the US to China to reflect the current tariffs, a Ford representative confirmed. According to him, the problem is Chinese President Xi Jinping's retaliatory tariffs on the US. The Chinese leader responded to US President Donald Trump's respective executive order and increased the tariffs; now they reach 150 percent.

Ford cars are supplied to China from plants in the US states of Michigan and Kentucky, and there is no alternative to these platforms. But deliveries of engines and transmissions from the US continue. Last year, about 5,500 Ford and Lincoln cars were exported to China. There is also an opposite scenario: the Nautilus crossover is being shipped to the US from China.

A letter was sent to dealers, and it states that if tariffs are maintained, price increases for new cars are inevitable. However, Ford is in no hurry to revise its price lists. Also, there is no information about the cessation of exports from China to the US. According to Reuters, Trump's 25 percent tariffs will increase costs for automakers by $108 billion this year.
