Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene his security cabinet this evening at 8pm local time, the office of one of the ministers told The Times of Israel, the latter reports.

Iran’s nuclear program and US-Iran talks will be on the agenda, a second source said.

Iranian and US delegations have held two rounds of talks in Muscat and Rome over the past two weeks to reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program and lifting of sanctions on Iran.

The parties agreed to start technical talks at the expert level in Oman on Wednesday, followed by a meeting of top negotiators on Saturday.

The Jerusalem Post earlier reported that senior Israeli officials met with the US special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, but failed to change his direction on Tehran.
