Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he is ready to take the first step and visit Berlin, London and Paris to reset talks with the Euro trio countries (Germany, Britain and France) on resolving the situation over Tehran's nuclear program.

"I am once again proposing diplomacy. After my recent consultations in Moscow and Beijing, I am ready to take the first step and visit Paris, Berlin and London. I was ready to do this before Iran started indirect talks with the US [over its nuclear program], but the Euro trio refused," Araghchi wrote in X.

"The ball is now on the side of the Euro trio. They have an opportunity to free themselves from the clutches of the ‘special interest’ societies and forge a different path. Where we turn at this fork will probably determine the future," he added. The current relations between Tehran and the three European countries are in severe decline, according to the Iranian foreign minister.

On April 15, the Tehran Times reported that the Euro-troika countries may try to sabotage the negotiation process between Tehran and Washington over Iran's nuclear program because they believe they themselves should participate in it. According to the newspaper, Araghchi, during the first round of talks with the U.S. delegation on April 12 in Oman, asked Washington to prevent the Europeans from activating the snapback procedure, as they are the only ones in a position to activate it.
