Indian foreign minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that all those behind the terrorist attack in Pahalgam shall be punished.

"Discussed the Pahalgam terrorist attack with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio yesterday. Its perpetrators, backers and planners must be brought to justice," Jaishankar wrote on X on Thursday.

On April 22, 26 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam town in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
