State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said during Thursday’s Department press briefing that the United States expects another round of talks with Iran in the near future.
This is how she responded to a reporter's question about whether the fourth round of talks with Iran scheduled for Saturday in Rome had been postponed or canceled.
"United States was never confirmed to be participating in a fourth round of talks with Iran, which people had believed were Saturday in Rome, despite what – there had been some reports. The timing and the venue had yet to be confirmed," said the US State Department spox.
She added that the situation was changing, but the White House expects another round of talks in the near future, emphasizing that the American side does not intend to delve into the details of these talks.
Earlier it became known that the fourth round of talks between the US and Iran had been postponed.
