German police did not permit Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to deliver an address at the Federal Academy for Security Policy (BAKS) in Berlin for security concerns due to a suspicious, illegally parked car, Finnish public broadcaster Yle reports.

Valtonen was already outside the BAKS building, where about a hundred security policy experts were waiting for her, when she was told that the event had been canceled.

German law enforcement agencies are currently investigating whether this security concern was real.
