A car driver opened fire on police officers in Makhachkala, Russia, the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, has said. According to preliminary information, three police officers were killed in the shootout, the Dagestani interior ministry told TASS.
Seven people were injured, they were taken to hospital and are in severe condition. Later it was informed that one of them died. Both gunmen were killed.
