Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes in Yemen on Tuesday that the army said “completely disabled” Sanaa International Airport in the Houthi-controlled capital and hit other targets, the Times of Israel reported.

The strikes, which came for the second day in a row, were in response to repeated rocket and drone attacks on Israel, with one missile hitting Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft were involved in strikes in Yemen on Tuesday, including fighter jets, refueling tankers and reconnaissance planes.
