Just hours after agreeing to a complete and immediate ceasefire, Pakistan violated the peace accord, reports Hindustan Times.

According to media reports, the Pakistan Armed Forces shelled and launched air raids on several border areas, including Barmer in Rajasthan and Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.

US President Donald Trump on Saturday announced a ceasefire between the countries and said talks between the countries were mediated by Washington.

The two countries agreed to end all hostilities on land, air and sea. However, India said the Indus Waters Treaty would be suspended and that the visa ban on Pakistani nationals would remain in place.
