EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas has reiterated the position that Brussels insists on a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia before negotiations. She told reporters during a visit to London.
“We need a ceasefire first,” Kallas said when asked by reporters what course of action Brussels favors.
The idea of a 30-day ceasefire was raised by Kallas and foreign ministers of several EU countries during a visit to Lviv on May 9, then supported by the leaders of Germany, Britain and France, who traveled to Kiev together on May 10.
