A joint Armenian-Turkish film will be shot about the life of world-famous Istanbul Armenian photojournalist Ara Guler (Aram Derderyan). The project is being prepared in cooperation with Kara Kedi Film and Luys Media, reports Ermenihaber.am.

The partners in Armenia are Anso Film and producers Ani Galstyan and Hovhannes Galstyan. The film's directors and screenwriters are Ela Alyamac and Aren Perdeci.

It will be the first joint feature film production between Turkey and Armenia and will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the Marche du Film section.

The project is supported also by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the 12 Punto platform of TRT.

The script development and archiving work was carried out at the Ara Guler Archive and Research Center, affiliated with Dogus Holding.
