Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will be in Yerevan on a working visit on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Tuesday’s press briefing.
"In accordance with tradition, flowers will be placed at the Eternal Flame near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a wreath will be laid at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Moscow hopes that Lavrov's visit will contribute to the strengthening of political and interdepartmental dialogue between Russia and Armenia, will lead to increased mutual understanding, and the finding of mutually acceptable solutions to matters of interest to each side," Zakharova noted.
