Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky discussed the negotiation process on Ukraine at talks in Moscow on May 26. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing a diplomatic source in Ankara.
“Yes, the topic of the negotiation process to resolve the conflict in Ukraine was discussed,” the agency quoted the interlocutor as saying.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Hakan Fidan will also be received by his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on May 27. The TASS news agency quoted a source as saying earlier that on the first day of the visit, 26 May, the Turkish minister expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin.
