Iran is ready to allow US inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) access to its nuclear facilities in case of an agreement with the US, chairman Mohammad Eslami of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said live on Wednesday.

"We [i.e. Iran] have not yet accepted inspectors from countries [in particular, the US] with which we are in conflict... However, if we reach an agreement [with the US] and all of Iran's demands and wishes are taken into account, then we are ready to reconsider the matter of accepting inspectors from the IAEA," Eslami told reporters, answering the question of whether the US would be allowed to send its inspectors to Iranian nuclear facilities.

The head of AEOI added that the Iranian side has not yet received official proposals to set up a nuclear consortium with Middle Eastern countries and the United States.
