Ukraine has submitted its memorandum on ceasefire to the Russian side. Now Russia has at least four days to submit its document with ceasefire proposals to Kyiv, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said, RBC-Ukraine reports.

Umerov said that he had already handed a document, which reflects Ukraine's position on the ceasefire, to the head of the Russian delegation.

"They have received this document. We confirm Ukraine's readiness for a full and unconditional ceasefire and further diplomatic work. We are not against meetings with the Russians and are waiting for their ‘memorandum’ so that the meeting is not empty and can really bring the end of the war closer," Umerov noted.

"The Russian side has at least four days before departure to submit its document to us," the Ukrainian defense minister emphasized.

Also, Umerov recalled that the Russian side had earlier promised to hand the “memorandum” immediately after the exchange.

“We call on the Russian side to immediately fulfill this promise and stop the attempts to make the meeting destructive. Diplomacy must be meaningful, and the new meeting must bring results,” the Ukrainian defense minister noted.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that the Russian delegation was ready to participate in the second round of talks with the Ukrainian side in Istanbul, Turkey on June 2 and had quickly developed its memorandum.
