The Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Armenia has issued a statement. Defense Minister Suren Papikyan told this to reporters Thursday—and referring to the shots fired toward Khoznavar village earlier in the day.

“We wanted a clarification from Azerbaijan, they denied that they did it,” added Papikyan.

Earlier, the Armenian MoD had reported that between 1am and 1:15am on Thursday, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Khoznavar village in Syunik Province of Armenia, and caused damage to a residential house. No casualties were reported.
