Seven people were shot and wounded, three of them in critical condition, at a park in the Tacoma suburb of the U.S. state of Washington on Wednesday night, the Associated Press reported.

Officers arriving on the scene found a “very disturbing scene” at Harry Todd Park in Lakewood at about 8 p.m. local time, said Lakewood police Sgt. Charles Porsche.

He said medics transported five people to hospitals, while two others made it on their own.

The Seattle Times reported that Porsche said three people were in critical condition. He added that investigators do not know how many shooters were involved or whether the shooting was targeted. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday.

A police spokesman said more than 100 people were at a park near American Lake when the shots rang out.
