By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday, Aram Ghazaryan has been appointed Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

Ghazaryan on Monday had submitted his resignation from the office of Lori provincial governor.

Aram Ghazaryan had served as the chief of the Lori provincial police department for 2.5 years from 2016, then held the same position in Gegharkunik Province, and then, until last year, headed the police department of Shirak Province.

And since June 2023, he has been the general director of Yerevan Thermal Power Plant.
