US customs and border control specialists have not yet arrived in Armenia. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during the debates on the report on the implementation of the 2024 state budget of Armenia at Thursday’s joint meeting of the standing committees of the parliament.

The visit of the Americans is only one component of cooperation, which implies expanding the capabilities of the Armenian side in the implementation of border control, the Armenian FM noted.

“There is no talk of the presence of American border guards on Armenia’s border,” Mirzoyan added.

The arrival of the aforesaid American specialist to Armenia is planned within the framework of the charter on strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States, signed in early 2025.
