During the period from January 1 to April 30, 2025, Azerbaijani airlines paid 89,746 euros to “Armenian Air Traffic Services” company for flights carried out through the airspace of Armenia. This is stated in a response of a Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia to a written request of Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This is almost twice as much as for six months of the previous year. Thus, in the period from January 1 to May 31, 2024, the amount of payments amounted to 49,459 euros.

At the same time, from January to May 2023, the amount of payment was slightly less than 40 thousand euros, and for the whole year 2023 - almost 80 thousand euros

The payments in all cases were made through the central office of Eurocontrol (European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation) in accordance with the established procedure.

It should be noted that “Armenian Air Traffic Services” CJSC provides air navigation services in the airspace of Armenia.
