The Iraqi Al-Nujaba movement has called on the government to expel American troops, accusing them of enabling Israel to carry out large-scale airstrikes deep inside Iranian territory, Shafaq News reports.
In a statement, the movement's Secretary General Akram al-Kaabi expressed condolences to Iran and linked the strikes to what he described as repeated violations of Iraq’s sovereignty.
“Israel’s attack on the Islamic Republic, along with continued violations of Iraqi airspace coordinated with US forces, must not go unanswered,” said al-Kaabi. “A complete withdrawal of US forces from Iraqi land and skies is necessary.”
He also emphasized that Iran supports armed groups in Palestine and Lebanon, and reminded that Iran had aided Iraq during its fight against the Islamic State group.
