Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport remained closed to all incoming and outgoing flights and was to remain so “until further notice,” reports Times of Israel, citing officials.

Meanwhile, the three largest Israeli airlines have moved their fleets out of the country to avoid becoming targets of an Iranian attack. As a result, Israel is effectively cut off from international air travel.

The regional escalation has led several foreign airlines to announce that they are canceling flights to and from Israel, and it is unclear when they will resume.

Given the repeated flight cancellations since October 2023 and the potential for full-scale war between Israel and Iran, it seems likely that many airlines will stay away from Israel for the foreseeable future.
