In recent days, Iranian border forces have shot down 44 drones and unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to Israel, said Brigadier General Ahmad-Ali Goudarzi, commander of Iran’s border guard service in Faraj, according to Tasnim.
He stated that the drones were destroyed after being detected near Iran’s borders.
“In the past 48 hours, 44 drones and micro-UAVs of the usurping Zionist regime, which attempted to violate our airspace, were tracked and destroyed by the vigilant border guards of Faraj,” Goudarzi said in the statement.
He described Iranian border units as fully prepared and on high alert.
Goudarzi emphasized that Iran’s border forces exercise “complete intelligence oversight” and remain “steadfast in ensuring the country’s security and sovereignty.”
The commander also affirmed “unity with other branches of Iran’s armed forces,” vowing to deliver a “decisive response to any threats near the borders.”
