Ten servicemen from the air defense forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—IRGC, an elite unit of the Iranian armed forces—were killed while repelling an Israeli air attack in northwestern Iran, reports YJC news agency.

“The IRGC in the West Azerbaijan (Atropatene) province announced the names of 10 soldiers of the third Hamza Air Defense Division who died while repelling an Israeli attack on the city of Urmia,” the statement added.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran, which was followed by retaliatory measures. Military actions between the two countries are continuing.
