The Armenian ambassador to Israel knows that there is a tourist group from Armenia in Jerusalem, and he is discussing with the Israeli government the most appropriate option to return these tourists to Armenia. This was told Monday to Armenian News-NEWS.am by the Jerusalem Tour travel agency, whose 17-member tourist group is currently in Jerusalem.

“We were asked to provide the names and passport data of the tourists; this information is already with the ambassador. And he discussing with the [Israeli] government the most appropriate option to return the tourists to Armenia. Perhaps they will cross overland to Egypt. But at the moment, all entrances to and exits from Israel are closed,” the aforesaid travel agency said, and noted that it is not yet known when these tourists will be able to return to Armenia.

"They should return on June 17, but at the moment the flights have been canceled. If the airspace is opened on the 17th of the month, it is possible our tourists also will return that day. Otherwise, we are going to contact the embassy tomorrow to figure out how to organize the return of the tourists," the aforementioned travel agency had stated Sunday.

To note, there is a Belgian citizen of Armenian descent in this tourist group.
